While my standard hourly rate is £15, I do offer significantly reduced rates for longer bookings, while maintaining the same high standard of care.
For overnight stays, although much of the time may be spent sleeping, I am still on hand and fully responsible for your pet throughout the entire 24-hour period. When this is considered, the overall hourly rate becomes quite low, and over time this isn’t always sustainable in the long term.
Microchipping
Getting your pet microchipped at home offers a calm, convenient, and far less stressful experience compared to visiting a clinic. Pets remain in their familiar environment, surrounded by comforting sights and smells, which helps reduce anxiety—especially for nervous animals, cats, puppies, or older pets. Without car journeys, waiting rooms, or unfamiliar noises, the process is usually quicker and more relaxed, making it easier for both pets and owners. Many animals are noticeably calmer at home, allowing the microchipping to be done smoothly and efficiently.
At-home microchipping is also ideal for busy households or multi-pet homes. Instead of organising transport and appointments for each animal, all pets can be microchipped in one visit at a time that suits you. Owners can ask questions, check details carefully, and ensure registration information is accurate and up to date on the spot. Most importantly, microchipping at home combines safety, comfort, and peace of mind—ensuring your pet is permanently identifiable without unnecessary stress or disruption to their routine.
